Why we only sell Capsules

Capsules vs Tablets

You may have seen that we don't sell tablets. This is all part of our dedication to our customers and our attitude towards doing it right. It's cheaper, easier and quicker to make tablet supplements. But, that comes at one big cost, and that's quality. Tablets have to be stuck together - and then they have to taste good, dissolve at the right speed and be preserved from oxidative damage.

What does this do the supplement you are about to put into your body? The result is often a list of additional ingredients that we don't want or need in our body. Tablets can come with a long list of excipients and additives that can cause undesirable effects, especially when it comes to gastrointestinal health. These over manufactured tablets are then poorly digested and absorbed, which can compromise the full potential of the active ingredients that you want from your supplements.

Capsules allow more flexibility and control when it comes to what we put in our supplements. In most cases we can avoid the addition of sweeteners and additives. All of our individual vitamin and mineral products providing you with nothing more than the pure ingredient in a plant-based capsule. In some of our more complex blends, the raw materials have to utilise other products to get them to their powdered form. While the contents of an additional ingredients is minimal, we don't want to hide it from you. So we let you know as part of our 'Honest Labels' policy.

Plant Based Capsules

The capsules that we use are made from either plant derived hydroxl proply methyl cellulose (HPMC) or vegetable pullulan. HPMC capsules are pH-independent, so they have delayed disintegartion with enteric properties. This ensures a higher survival rate of the active ingredients from the stomach acid, so they can be absorbed in the intestines. Where you want them to be.

HMPC capsules meet both religious and dietary exclusion standards, allowing them to be suitable across a broader range of people. The capabilities of creating unique and beneficial blends are divers and flexible, even with small amounts of natural fillers like alfalfa or whole food powders. Meticulous encapsulation methods such as these give therapists confidence in a purer product for their patients.
